(St. John, USVI, Sept. 2025). The Coral Bay Car Show roared to life with gleaming chrome, the scent of local barbecue, and the unmistakable pulse of steel pan music echoing through the hills. Under a relentless Caribbean sun that had umbrellas popping and fans whirring, the Love City Pan Dragons delivered a high-energy performance that stole the spotlight and stirred community pride.

Among the performers was Kwaniqua Monsanto, who joined the Pan Dragons in June and has been steadily learning the band’s repertoire ever since. Though new to the group, Kwaniqua’s dedication and rhythm were on full display, adding fresh energy to the ensemble. “She’s been picking up songs quickly and really finding her groove,” said one of the band’s instructors. “It’s exciting to see new talent blossom right in front of us.”

Ronald Lee, President of the Love City Pan Dragons, emphasized the importance of the event. “Performing here every year is how we stay connected,” Lee said. “It attracts new members, brings families together, and reminds everyone that our culture is alive and thriving. This isn’t just music—it’s community.”
