The University of the Virgin Islands Association of Black Journalists (UVIABJ) invites the general public to join the virtual/zoom film event, Caribbean Cinematic & Arts Festival (CCAF) https://caribfilm.net/on Saturday and Sunday, April 23rd and 24th 2022. Interested persons may check the website at www.cribfil.net and submit a video project to https://caribfilm.net/entering-the-contest/. The paperwork for participation and other promotional information are listed on the website.
According to the film planning committee coordinator, Carlos Eton, “The communication unit at UVI is small in numbers, but the student population is rich in talent.” The CCFA planning Team states that the film festival will be a wonderful opportunity to network with other colleges in the media industry.

Dr. Sharon Albert Honore, UVI faculty member, and advisor to UVIABJ says, “CCAF serves as a capstone activity to the communication unit and this event will also incorporate a celebration of graduating Communication seniors.”
