The five martyrs included two brothers , Jawad AL-Rimawi 22 years- old and Thafr AL-Rimawi 21-years old, from Beit Rima, near the village of Kefr Ein.
According to reports, Israeli forces raided the Palestinian town Kefr Ein around five in the morning.
According to reports by Middle East Eye, a media outlet that covers these stories, Israeli forces raided the Palestinian town Kefr Ein around five in the morning.
Several youths from the neighboring village, Beit Rima, went down to “help” and “defend” their neighbors, locals told MEE.
The Rimawi brothers were among the youth and clashes broke out between them and the Israeli forces.
According to witnesses, Palestinians threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at the soldiers, who were firing live bullets and other weapons as they invaded the neighborhood.
Eyewitnesses claim that Thafer threw a rock toward the convoy of armored military jeeps and a soldier shot and the bullet struck him in the chest.
Seeing his younger brother fall, Jawad, ran to drag him off the street and out of harm’s way. The Israeli soldiers fired at him as well, striking him in the pelvis and stomach.

According to activist and resident of Beit Rima, Jad al-Bargouthi, 46, “The soldiers that killed them were in a military jeep. The soldier’s lives were not in danger at the time, they could have just moved away,”
“Every day, there is a martyr. Every day there are injuries. Every night there are raids and arrests and demolitions. This is our life as Palestinians,” said al-Barghouti.
Death rates are increasing, and yet the Israeli occupying power continues to enjoy impunity.
Death rates are increasing, and yet the Israeli occupying power continues to enjoy impunity. Israel’s apartheid regime and war crimes must be dismantled and stopped.
World-wide, people demand accountability for these senseless murders.
The killing of these five Palestinians last month brought the death toll in the occupied Palestinian territories this year to 207 Palestinians, of whom 155 were killed in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, making it the deadliest year recorded for Palestinians since 2005.
Deaths and more deaths, and all this for what really? These numbers continue to increase. Five more palestinians were killed, two being brothers. Just throwing a rock that harmed noone, brought this young man to his death and to add insult to injury, his brother with compassion tried to remove his body, but succumbed to his death also. This senseless war needs to end.
